In Semester 2, 2009 I will be teaching the following papers:
- ITNA6.250 Network Admin & Support,
- OS500 Operating Systems (Term 3),
- DC500 Data Comms 1 (Term 3),
- OS600 Operating Systems (Term 4), and
- NM500 Network Management (Term 4).
In Semester 1, 2009 I taught the following papers:
- ITOS5.280 Operating Systems,
- ITDC5.230 Data Communications 1, and
- ITWM7.380 Website Hosting & Maintenance.
I may provide some additional teaching resources here at some later stage, but for now official course materials are available on EITOnline.
Research
I am a PhD candidate at the School of Computing, University of Tasmania, and my work is being supervised by Dr. Vishv Malhotra, Dr. Julian Dermoudy, and Dr. John Hunter.
My research interests are in parallel and distributed computing, in particular the scalability and transparency issues associated with distribution of a tuple space shared memory. My PhD thesis is/was titled 'Tupleware: A Distributed Tuple Space for the Development and Execution of Array-based Applications in a Cluster Computing Environment', and is currently going through the examination process.
I also have an interest in emerging parallel programming paradigms for multi-core processors, distributed computing middleware, and computer science education.
